STEPN Around The World: Sneaker Enhancement Special

With the holiday season around the corner, we are certain that many of you are winding down for the year, getting ready to celebrate with family and friends to celebrate this special occasion.

At Find Satoshi Lab (FSL), it has been an exceptional year, having propelled the STEPN brand to global recognition and amassing a 5 million strong user base. We have been busy building to add DOOAR, our Decentralised Exchange (DEX), and most recently, MOOAR, our NFT marketplace and launchpad to the ecosystem.

Many have raised concerns that with the launch of new products that STEPN may be left behind. We assure you, STEPN remains a top priority for us, as demonstrated by our commitment to a cadence of in-app events on the STEPN roadmap. We hope you will enjoy the STEPN Around the World: Sneaker Enhancement Special event as much as we did creating it.

Our Motivation — A Global Community

To coincide with this year’s global football tournament, one of the most anticipated international sporting events of the year, we have decided to launch an in-app event to celebrate with our users across the world.

Since our launch, STEPN has acquired a user base spanning the globe, with a community from over 200 countries. Our community meetups have also been incredibly well received, with events all across the world such as Japan and recently New Delhi, drawing huge attendance.

What better way to celebrate diversity than creating an event on the backdrop of this event, a multi-national competition. We hope all of you, especially the football fans, will enjoy this moment.

Event Name: Around the World — Sneaker Enhancement Special
Event Start: 18th Nov 2022 00:00 (UTC)
Event End: 18th Dec 2022 23:59 (UTC)

Event Description

During the event, perform Sneaker Enhancements for a chance to receive a unique Around the World Limited Edition Country Sneaker Skin.

A total pool of 100,000 GMT will be available.

For those unfamiliar with the Sneaker Enhancement mechanic, you may refer to the STEPN Whitepaper for more details.

The Prize Breakdown

In accordance with the final 2022 football tournament rankings, all holders of Sneaker Skins of a country ranking in the top 8 will be eligible to receive a portion of this 100,000 GMT prize pool, as follows:

Winner: 50%
2nd Place: 25%
3rd Place: 10%
4th Place: 5%
5th to 8th Place: 2.5% each

Example

If you hold a sneaker with a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Sneaker Skin, and England were to eventually win the tournament, you and all other users holding a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Sneaker Skin would receive a proportional share of GMT from the winning pool (100,000 GMT).

Event Rules

• Country Sneaker Skins will be randomly chosen among any one of the 32 participating countries in the tournament
• Country Sneaker Skins will be tradable on the marketplace
• Each account will be able to collect multiple Sneaker Skins of the same country. If that country places in the top 8, they will win the proportional amount of GMT based on the number of Sneaker Skins held (Does not matter if the sneaker was bought from the marketplace or personally enhanced)
• There will be a cap on the number of country sneakers that can be generated during the event duration.
• The event is playable across all STEPN realms: Solana, BNB Chain and Ethereum.

Over the past months, the call for in-app events has been resounding. With macro environmental shifts, as much as we would have loved to roll them out sooner, it was imperative to put them on hold.

However, we have definitely been listening carefully and are delighted to kickstart the first of a long line of events we have planned. We would like to thank you for constantly supporting us, as well as pushing our creativity and keeping us on our toes.
