For those that missed our latest STEPN December Town Hall, here’s a quick recap of the main points of discussion:

1. STEPN In-App Anniversary Event👟

(Goes Live 21st December 2022)

People have been asking for events that include everyone, rewarding movement so that it extends to the whole community

🔷Event 1: Double GST earning

Will last for the entire duration of the event
GST cap will not be removed or changed

🔷Event 2a: Mint sneakers for a chance to get unique sneakers with Letters S, T, E, P, or N.

Not guaranteed, but a good chance

🔷Event 2b: Enhance all 5 unique sneakers forming S-T-E-P-N to receive a guaranteed limited-edition Christmas sock-skin sneaker NFT

There is a 100% chance to get a STEPN Christmas Sock
Sock holders will receive special airdrops like GST, GMT, MOOAR membership, Secret NFTs, physical merch and NFTs
You will not receive a regular or rainbow sneaker from this enhancement

2. SaaSGo x Javier Mascherano (ETH Realm)⚽

Special collaboration with Javier Mascherano, former Argentinian professional footballer and World Cup 2022 national ambassador.

Total of 250 unique Genesis NFT sneakers, embellished with his signature, will be released

3. MOOAR Launchpad 🚀

13 incredible projects will be competing for a chance to launch on the MOOAR launchpad
Voting commences on Thursday, 8th December 2022.
$GMT and a MOOAR membership will be needed to vote

4. Dark Mode 🌑

Requested by the community, so we got it done
Available to ALL users
Goes live in the next 48 hours

5. GMT Marketplace 🛒

GMT will become the standardised in-app currency of STEPN instead of SOL, BNB or ETH.

This will apply to Sneakers, Shoeboxes, gems, minting scrolls
To effect this change, ALL current listings will be delisted in 48 hours

This will benefit users in a few ways:

Consolidate all spending into GMT to provide additional utility
Reduce risk of exposure from holding multiple tokens
Smoother user experience + simplifies the game

🔺Transfers from in-app wallet to spending account will still require the native token for gas fees

The format for selling gems will also be reworked:

Option to sell 1 or all gems for each type, at the same price
Simplifies the game and makes it easier to list your gems for sale

6. Updated Whitepaper📃

Improved transparency on ecosystem fund spendings
3.6 million GMT are allocated towards marketing efforts monthly

7. Transfer Exploit 🏴‍☠️

STEPN app is still being exploited by users transferring 10 GST continuously over the course of the day
Fees have been adjusted to 5 GST due to GST price going down

8. Gem Restoration for Sneakers💎

Many have asked why only comfort gems are allowed to restore HP
We want to make it clear that all use cases for each type of gems have not been released yet
Efficiency, Resilience and Luck gems will each have additional layers of use cases introduced in the future
HP restoration system will not change

9. Claiming External Rewards🎁

The recent rewards claim for STEPN x Atlético de Madrid sneakers required users to move these sneakers out of their STEPN wallet, causing some to lose their Mystery Boxes
We will work on a more seamless way to collect rewards in the future

10. Rainbows Sneakers🏳️‍🌈

We are aware of the current climate since releasing the Rainbow Sneakers
You have our word that we do not intend to release Rainbow+ Sneakers any earlier than 2nd February 2023

11. CoinMarketCap (CMC) Badges🔰

These badges are not STEPN in-app badges
Currently, no plans to introduce perks to them

12. MOOAR > STEPN ❓

Many users have asked if we have refocused our efforts on MOOAR and are leaving STEPN behind
This is certainly not the case — we have separate dev teams for MOOAR and STEPN
We intend on continuing to work concurrently on both products, and any additional product we launch.
