Season’s greetings to one and all. We are reaching the final leg of 2022, and as promised, let’s end off this year with a bang! We know 2022 has been tumultuous, especially for those who have been involved in the crypto space.

As such, for our final event of the year, we have decided to pull out all the stops to create something truly memorable.

This is our way of saying a huge thank you to each and every one of you. It goes without saying that the STEPN community is a force to reckon with, and each of you have made it through thick and thin to be here with us at this point. We have had our ups, and definitely our downs, and you stuck around.

Coincidentally, this is the same period that we launched the STEPN Public Beta! On the 21st December 2021, we went live with the app, which started off as a small tight knit community that quickly grew into something truly special.

Event 1: Double GST Earning

Earn x2 GST! During the event period, whenever you go for your STEPN sessions, you will earn twice your usual amount of GST.

During the event, shoe minting will yield a chance (non-guaranteed) to produce 1 of 5 sneakers with a special skin (With the letters S, T, E, P, N respectively).

Christmas Event

Event 3a: Merge your “S-T-E-P-N” sneakers (Christmas edition)

Event End: 24th Dec 2022, 00:00 UTC

Once you obtain all 5 Christmas Edition Sneakers, spelling out “S-T-E-P-N”, you may enhance the 5 sneakers to receive a limited edition Christmas Sock Sneaker Skin (guaranteed).

A snapshot of all limited edition Christmas Sock Sneaker Skin holders will be taken on the 24th December 2022, 00:00 UTC.

By being in this snapshot, the holder will be entitled to an array of gifts, such as:

• GST + GMT (variable amount)
• MOOAR membership
• STEPN physical merch
• Various NFTs in the future

New Year’s Event

Event 3b: Merge your “S-T-E-P-N” sneakers (New Year’s edition)

Event Start: 24th Dec 2022, 00:00 UTC

Event End: 1st Jan 2023, 00:00 UTC

Once you obtain all 5 New Year’s edition Sneakers, spelling out “S-T-E-P-N”, you may enhance the 5 sneakers to receive a limited edition New Year’s Sneaker Skin (guaranteed).

A snapshot of all limited edition New Year’s Sneaker Skin holders will be taken on the 1st January 2023, 00:00 UTC.

By being in this snapshot, the holder will be entitled to an array of gifts, such as:

• GST + GMT (variable amount)
• MOOAR membership
• STEPN physical merch
• Various NFTs in the future

FAQ

Will the usual GST caps apply during this event?

Yes, we will not be adjusting the GST caps.

Are sneakers of all rarities eligible for a chance to receive S-T-E-P-N sneaker skin from mint?

Yes.

What about enhancing?

Normal enhancement mechanics still apply (chance to get a higher-quality sneaker)

You will be able to toggle between getting a rainbow sneaker or getting the event sneaker skin before you enhance.

Are the S-T-E-P-N sneaker skins tradable?

Yes you may trade them on our marketplace

Do we lose the 5 S-T-E-P-N sneaker skins after enhancing?
Yes, you will burn the 5 sneakers to receive the special sock NFT.

What happens if I enhance S-T-E-P-N sneakers with regular sneakers?

You will have a 0% chance to get the Christmas Sock or New Year’s Eve Sneaker.*

However, if you enhance 1 S-T-E-P-N sneaker with 4 other regular sneakers, you will have a 20% chance to get a higher quality version of the S-T-E-P-N sneaker, so on and so forth (if you use 2 S-T-E-P-N sneakers, your chances go up)

Example: If you enhance a “T” common sneaker with 4 regular common sneakers, you have a 20% chance to obtain a “T” uncommon sneaker, and a very small chance to obtain a “T” rare sneaker.

Does a higher quality S-T-E-P-N sneaker matter?

Absolutely. Higher quality S-T-E-P-N sneakers, when enhanced as a set, will result in higher quality Christmas Sock/New Year Sneaker NFTs, which will receive better gifts (i.e. more GMT)

What is a snapshot? Do I need to do anything to receive the rewards once I obtain a sock NFT?

A snapshot captures the state of the blockchain at the specific time. This allows us to verify ownership of the sock holders.

You do not need to do anything other than leaving the limited edition NFT in your STEPN account.

Can I trade/transfer the sock NFT after the snapshot?

Yes you can. But the rewards will be given to you, and not your new buyer.
